HyperText Markup Language (HTML)

• Text codes interpreted by browsers to display webpages:
• Page structure
• Text formatting — fonts, lists
• Using colour — page background
• Inserting images
• Adding hyperlinks to other websites
• Creating forms

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

• Properties used to control the style and layout of multiple pages of a website.
